Classy Grey is the new black
This week, I present to you classy gray-scale nails. Perhaps it's a work habit, but gray is my new black! And it's been proven in the past three weeks that without any nail polish, my nail health falls when I don't nourish it with some pretty polish. I guess if you use your hands for work very often, a little shell for protection ain't bad at all! Enjoy!

Mosaic Nails
As always, lay out the polishes on a sheet of painting paper |
Using a brush, or a dotting tool, roughly color parts of the nails with different colors |
When you're done, clean up the edges that was done during the painting |
The lines where each color meets should be defined, but don't worry if the lines are a little jagged |
This will solve all problems for you! Using a black nail art pen (or black polish on a dotter/brush), paint along the edges |
Add a line where the colors take up most of the nail to create a more detailed mosaic feel |
And you're done! Remember your top coat! :) |
Close up of the thumb, in case you need to see how it's painted |
A BAD EXAMPLE Started work on my right hand this time, before I started taking photos and realize it's best to keep the lines sparse and simple OVERKILL!! |
Managed to remedied the situation by painting over the colors and re-defining the black lines |
Have fun with the colors!
Colors in use: Blue from Faceshop, Skin and orange from DearFace nail polish (korea)

Peacock watermark experiment
It's just as suggested by the title, I decided to create a watermark designed to look like peacock feathers. Here's how I went about doing it:
And this marks the end of my first experiment. There are several things I wish to refine:
1. Find a darker blue, and add yellow and gems to make it more colorful, like the peacock feathers.
2. Research on how to remove those water bubbles.
3. Consider using a cup, or a bowl with more depth, so I will not touch the bottom of the container and smudge the nails
Overall, I think this got off a good start :)
Wonder how it can be improved..
Using navy green, I coated the nail with a base color |
Added a few more coats so it looks more solid |
These are the colors used for the watermark! I shall skip on how to create a watermark because there are many tutorials on youtube to help you |
The three tries, the third one finally makes more sense! The color is right, the shape is more defined, I just have to refine it with more petal-shapes. |
Not sure if you can tell, but using the method previously proposed in the video I shared didn't work. Water-bubbles appeared anyway. Shall research more on this. |
My two favourites of the day. Honestly, which do you prefer? |

A little white flower saves the day
I got inspired by the works of cutepolish and decided to do something related to a white flower.
What you would need:
- Yellow, Green and white nail polish (see image 6)
- A dotter (I used a pen, see image 2)
- Cotton Sticks (see image 3)
- Paper
- Nail Polish Remover
- Base and top coat of your choice
Beauty Regime:
1. Prep your nails by cleaning the hands followed by a layer of base coat
2. Put some green nail polish on the paper
3. Using a pen or a dotter of your choice, create "cloud shapes" at the tip of the nails
4. Put some yellow on paper. Add a dot of yellow on each nail (see image 1)
5. Put some white on paper. Using the cotton sticks (as I need smaller, leaner petals) draw out the shape of petals. Cover some of the yellow to make the yellow dot look smaller (see image 3)
6. Add on a small dot of yellow to re-define the flower's pollen by angling the pen so you get a smaller dot
7. Add two layers of top coat when the paint has more or less dried up (see image 4, 5)
And you're done! P.s. I'm gonna start a new project, watch this space! :)

Rio, Amigo!
I did this in less than 15 minutes.
Mainly because I'm too lazy a person to do any manicurial stuff on my stubby toe nails :(
This is my Rio-palette, inspired by that parrot movie

Deep blue, Bright Yellow and Highlighter Pink, all from FaceShop.
Here's how you do it:
1. Apply yellow over the entire toenail, as it is the lightest color of the three
2. Make a mental note to divide the nail's surface area into three segments
3. Apply pink on either segment on each nail, randomly
4. Apply blue on either of the remaining segments, randomly
5. Finish with 2 layers of top-coat

And done!
