Spring is here
Hi gals! Sorry for my short MIA, well the good news is I've moved into a comfortable, cozy new place and have my own nail corner now ^o^
This week, I'm presenting nails titled 'Spring is blooming'
This week, I'm presenting nails titled 'Spring is blooming'
It is fairly easy to create this look, which looks like colourful flowers blooming in the lustrous green |
I'm missing a shot here with the black lines drawn on first, but in words, you first add some curvy lines for the branch. Then you use a dotting tool of your choice and dot the colours on |
The beauty is really how the dots work in random shades, so don't worry. Let your mood lead you and dot the shades |
And you'd end up with ten lovely nails simple and modern, yet with such a cheerful vibe that work will feel brilliantly cheerful too! |
Hope you enjoyed the post! And I promise to catch up with more nail displays! Next up - Valentines Day!

Visions of Love, Envy VII & VIII
The final pieces of Envy.
I think for me, sometimes I see envy show in people differently. For those who know Envy like a map and know their way around it extremely well, I always feel them trying their greatest might to earn Envy from the people around them. Perhaps that is why Slytherins from Harry Potter are represented by green.
And now I present to you, the green Envy in all its mighty glory.

For the right, I used Jade Green once more and for the left, I decided to use luminous blue |
Envy Strikes - in darkness, Envy will find its way of through loneliness |
Peacock Eyes - Blue patterns of the peacock feather are jewelled with envious gems |
Blind Spots - When engulfed by envy, how many of us can clear our vision and see only the best in everything? |

Visions of Love, Envy V & VI
More on our Envy Green series, the next two are abstract nail arts, purely experimental :)

Complicated Feelings: Using lime green, yellow, maroon and white, I created a nail piece using the design of mosaic tiles. |
To create the rain-washed effects, use a flat brush and pick up the nail polish. Scrape some on paper to test out its effect and then slowly sweep down the nails. |
Start from the top always to create a gradient fill. Use white and sweep bottom-up to create a tinge of french tip. Then using the small brushes, paint in the crescent |
Left: Complicated Feelings Right: Rain and Crescent |

Visions of Love, Envy III & IV
Envy, or jealousy, is a green-eyed monster.
Which explains why my series of Envy nail-art uses largely of green, like the ones below:

* Kudos and credits to designer for butterfly print, it didn't direct me to who it was on the web but I liked the design very much :) Thanks for inspiring

On the left, we have jade green while the right presents a bright lime green close to the color of foliage |
On jade green: Broken Heart In plum-red, I painted a heart disintegrating. Who has not suffered a broken heart when consumed by jealousy? |
Left: Broken Heart Right: Winged Green |

Visions of Love, Envy
Ahh, I finally got about doing this! Apologies all, for the short hiatus. I've been getting busy with whatever is happening in my circle, painting houses and singing sessions and home planning and running off to the airport and what's not. But I'm back now, with a new series.
Throughout next week, I'd share my series of palette named Envy. Why does it take a week now? This is to keep each post short and easy for reading, and also to get you tuned in the entire week of course! ;)
Here's a first look of the palette, Envy
Envy, commonly perceived on a color scale of emotions as green, is the vice of love and all other relationships. It takes away what is good. It eats into the positive and it requires constant glorification.
Please stay tuned for the first two nail-arts tomorrow :)

Pirates of the sea, unite!
Inspired, of course by Sparrow and his trail of parrots, ayeeee grrrrr! This is something simple, but pirate-themed if you've caught the pirates fever too.
Hope you liked that! Let me know what you'd improve or what you like because I think this can be better! :)
There is also a poll on the right to find out what's the hottest nail color so take your vote and put it in today!
Nail polish for yerr scurvy dogs. L to R: midnight blue, metallic blue, sky blue, green glitter, white |
Very lovely metallic sea blue, put some of it onto a sponge |
Sponge off to the mid-point of the nails |
Paint the middle finger black (Ho yeahh!) |
Take sea blue, and hold it at the angle shown above |
Dot rough patches of blue like this |
Take the metallic sea blue again and swipe at 45 degrees like this |
On the thumb, add a sea-wavy french tip with midnight blue |
Using the tool brush, pick up some white |
And dot rough patches of white to create waves |
Try and keep it patchy and disperse else it'd start looking like white blocks instead |
Add a yolk sun on the thumb |
On the black nail, draw an oval with two black spots like this |
Draw in the mouth, and other details |
Gloss the nails with glitter green, excluding the black nail |
As I'm a right hander, I can't detail a skull on my right hand. So instead I drew a sketchy heart like this |
And you're done! |
Hope you liked that! Let me know what you'd improve or what you like because I think this can be better! :)
