Finally, all dust has settled and I can now post photos!

The first three - (i) Laced (ii) Royal Princess (i) Crowned Queen

Next three - (i) Floral Punk (ii) Quirks and Dots (iii) Jewelled

And the last three - (i) Lace and ties (ii) Star! (iii) Aqua Mermaid

Originally, I wanted all nals to be this!

And the ring finger to feature this!
But alas, I did not manage to find time for all that, and because I went over to Hong Kong to get married, I was lacking a full equipment for the works!

Deathly Hallows inspired nail work

Nicely done and found on tumblr, thus I'm unable to credit the right person for this awesome work. Whoever you are, I love it and you're awesome :)

I know things have been stagnant, I'd be back with more updates in a week. Promise

edit: I found out who it was, here's the link to nail art for each house. Cheers to jihyeleeart!

Visions of Love, Envy VII & VIII

The final pieces of Envy.

I think for me, sometimes I see envy show in people differently. For those who know Envy like a map and know their way around it extremely well, I always feel them trying their greatest might to earn Envy from the people around them. Perhaps that is why Slytherins from Harry Potter are represented by green.

And now I present to you, the green Envy in all its mighty glory.

For the right, I used Jade Green once more and for
the left, I decided to use luminous blue

Envy Strikes - in darkness, Envy will find
its way of through loneliness
Peacock Eyes - Blue patterns of the peacock
feather are jewelled with envious gems
Blind Spots - When engulfed by envy, how
many of us can clear our vision and see
only the best in everything?

Visions of Love, Envy V & VI

More on our Envy Green series, the next two are abstract nail arts, purely experimental :)

Complicated Feelings: Using lime green, yellow,
maroon and white, I created a nail piece using the
design of mosaic tiles.
Rain and Crescent: It isn't difficult to associate loneliness
with Envy. Most of the time in fiction stories, the protagonist
of Envy is suffering from bouts of loneliness. And what better
mood than a rainy night with a half-complete moon?
To create the rain-washed effects, use a flat brush and pick up
the nail polish. Scrape some on paper to test out its effect and
then slowly sweep down the nails.
Start from the top always to create a gradient fill. Use
white and sweep bottom-up to create a tinge of french tip.
Then using the small brushes, paint in the crescent
Left: Complicated Feelings
Right: Rain and Crescent

Visions of Love, Envy III & IV

Envy, or jealousy, is a green-eyed monster.

Which explains why my series of Envy nail-art uses largely of green, like the ones below:

On the left, we have jade green while the right presents
a bright lime green close to the color of foliage
On jade green: Broken Heart
In plum-red, I painted a heart disintegrating. Who has not
suffered a broken heart when consumed by jealousy?
On lime green: Winged Green
A beautiful design I've gotten from the web,
recreating it for the series just seemed right,
though I need to mark up my skills a little and
thin those lines. But butterflies, have always
represented envy, to me at least. A small caterpillar
changing to become a beautiful winged creature?
Left: Broken Heart
Right: Winged Green

* Kudos and credits to designer for butterfly print, it didn't direct me to who it was on the web but I liked the design very much :) Thanks for inspiring

Visions of Love, Envy I & II

And to begin with part 1 of the series, are two nail art designs using green as the basis.

First, I coat the nails with the base colors -

On the right, I coat the nail with a gradient sort of green,
and on the left,  a jade-green with a coat of translucent green glitter

Black Widow - Which always evoked a fearful feeling,
showing me this woman with contempt for mortality. In reality,
I feel that she is just envious of women happily-in-love.

(Wanted to create a more intricate web design, but could not
find the material. Let me know if you come across a web-texture
I can paint over)

Bought this gem from Daiso, at only $2! Reason why I have not ventured
into 3D nail art is because it is expensive and I do not believe in pricey nail art
that is temporary. So this, solves everything!
They've also got small nail art brushes now, Daiso is plain brilliant!

Took a couple pieces of gems that I would use, a big blue gem,
2 pearls and a few small gems
Using nail polish to flatten out the brush (hardened nail polish
keeps it flattened) I pick up some of the glitter polish used previously

To fix the gems onto the nail, you need to coat it with a thick
layer of glitter polish which will act like glue. Then using the brush
prepared earlier, I'd pick up the gems and fix them on.

I'd name this, Glamorous Envy. The over-sized gem is like envy sized
up by ambition, and it looks beautifully adorned to illicit envy

A final look at the 2 nail arts, Black Window and Glamorous Envy

Visions of Love, Envy

Ahh, I finally got about doing this! Apologies all, for the short hiatus. I've been getting busy with whatever is happening in my circle, painting houses and singing sessions and home planning and running off to the airport and what's not. But I'm back now, with a new series.

Throughout next week, I'd share my series of palette named Envy. Why does it take a week now? This is to keep each post short and easy for reading, and also to get you tuned in the entire week of course! ;)

Here's a first look of the palette, Envy

Envy, commonly perceived on a color scale of emotions as green, is the vice of love and all other relationships. It takes away what is good. It eats into the positive and it requires constant glorification.

Please stay tuned for the first two nail-arts tomorrow :)
